On December 27, 2009, more than 45 students and supporters of the Assyrian Chaldean Syriac Student Union (ACSSU) of Canada gathered at Nathan Philips Square in downtown Toronto. The event started with an open skate in front of the Toronto City Hall, which was attended by all branches of ACSSU from the Universities of McMaster, York, Toronto, and Ryerson including their members, alumni, and supporters.
Guests enjoyed a night of skating while socializing with each other. Following the skate, many of the participants gathered for dinner at a variety of restaurants around the area of Yonge and Dundas square. In the end, the event had a successful turnout and it emphasized the continuous interest of our students and alumni in staying connected with each other.
ACSSU of Canada would like to wish everyone a Happy Christmas and a fantastic New Year filled with abundance and joy.
